Kindergarten-5th Grade

Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade will enjoy participating in a variety of activities weekly at Woodridge! We partner with parents as they raise their children to be fully devoted followers of Christ . We believe the spiritual training and formation of each child must be done by their parents, not for their parents. We exist to empower and equip parents as they seek to transform their children into fully devoted followers of Christ.  Most importantly, we learn how to make God's Word a part of our everyday lives.

Our Sunday School classes provide age-appropriate Bible lessons and learning activities which encourage physical and spiritual development. Each class if led by dedicated and skilled teachers who are committed to teaching God's Word. Every lesson we teach kids to Worship, Connect, Learn, Serve or Reach.

Kindergarten- Under the Big Top Jr.

Join Michael and his son, Ethan, at the circus as Michael teaches his son to obey, to share his things, and that he should not complain, along with many other lessons from the Bible. It’s time to go Under The Big Top with Elevate Jr!

Children’s Church | Sundays 10:50am

All kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to Children’s Church – a very interactive service where God’s Word is shared through object lessons, puppets, dramas, video and live worship.

 

Tracks | Wednesdays 6:00-7:30        

Wednesday Nights during the school year we provide opportunities for kids to learn about God through our program Tracks which is music, movement and recreation.  

 

Parents Night Out | First Friday of every month

Once a month, childcare is offered to our church members for their children ages birth through fifth grade. Parents can go out on a date, hang out with friends or attend a Sunday School Class party. You can register your family by clicking the link above, or fill out a Parents' Night Out envelope located at the Preschool Desk. All registration fees must be made prior to the Monday before PNO.

During Parents' Night Out kids will have a great time playing games, doing crafts and enjoying recreation in the gym. The church will provide a snack and all activities. You may bring your child's dinner (finger foods, please) between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm if you'd like.

Baptism | HANDPRINT WALL

Baptism is an opportunity for us, as Christians, to give an outward sign of the inward change of our hearts.  Our church celebrates baptism in the church service the last Sunday of every month.  If you feel like your child has made a genuine decision to follow Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior then we would ask you to get in touch with our children’s ministry to schedule a time when they can make that profession public. 

The first step in having a child baptized is to enroll them in our New Christians Class.  Weeks one and six of this six week class are designed to help train you, as the parents, to answer the questions your children may have, and to continue the process of training them in their Christian walk after the class is over.  The middle four weeks are designed to walk the kids through the basics of what it means to be a Christian, and how they live that out in a more practical sense. 

Children who are baptized at our church may put their handprint on our “Handprint Wall” which becomes a wonderful remembrance of the very special day in your child’s life.  They will get to choose a color for the paint, and then we will write their name and the date they were baptized underneath their print.
