After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee,proclaiming the good news of God. “The time has come,” he said. “The Kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!” As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him.

Now it is time to invite them to the four special events your church is going to have designed just for them. Invite them to Sunday School, to worship and to experience forgiveness through our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is nothing like having a person come up to me at an event or a Sunday service and say, “I’ve got one of my 4 X fours with me today. Come meet them, Pastor.” When individuals come forward at the invitation or when we are baptizing and I ask the friends and family to stand, there is almost always a person who stands and the words are whispered as a thanksgiving prayer, “That’s one of my 4 X fours.”
