Want to Volunteer in Preschool or Children?
Our teachers volunteer weekly, monthly and quarterly on a rotation schedule that works for you. We always need loving volunteers to staff our programs. Becoming a teacher is easy and rewarding! YOU will be blessed. You get to love and care for little ones, build relationships with kids, and facilitate activities in small groups.
In order to volunteer, follow the steps below:
1. Contact lwilliams@woodridge.org for preschool or jmiller@woodridge.org for children to find out where you can serve.
2. You must have a background check.
a. Request a background check form at lwilliams@woodridge.org or jmiller@woodridge.org and one will be emailed to you.
b. Fill out the background check and return in to Woodridge Baptist Church either by mail at 5707 Kingwood Drive Kingwood, TX 77345 Attn: Linda Williams or Jim Miller or in person Monday – Thursday between 8am-5pm. Background checks cannot be emailed back as we need the original signature on file. If dropping off at the church please bring them to the education office do not leave them at the front desk.
3. When you return your background check form pick up a Teacher Commitment Form and Policy & Procedure Handbook.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Nursery Caregiver
We are always looking for people who love babies, toddlers and preschool kids.
Sunday School Teachers
Show the kids how much God loves them by helping teach age appropriate curriculum to your class. Volunteer as a teacher, or just come play games and love on kids in a room where someone else teaches the lessons. Be a part of our TEAM.
Special Needs Helper
Our HOPE Ministry has several potential areas of service. Please get in touch with our children’s ministry office to find out how you can serve God through this amazing ministry! To the special needs community in Kingwood.
Tracks Teachers
If you would like to serve, but you don’t want to bite off more than you can chew, Tracks is the ministry for you. Tracks run for a shorter period of time than a typical Sunday School position, so it is a great starting point.
Children’s Church Team
We are always looking for volunteers to lend a hand by loving on the kids during the Children’s Church hour. Want to do more? You are invited to help out with music, skits, puppets and more. If your desire is to share God's love with children then you are needed here.
Children’s Church Tech Team
Want to help, but you aren’t the type that likes to be in front of a crowd? Pray about serving on our tech team. We need volunteers to run the sound and video equipment during Children’s Church. Get in touch with our Children’s Ministry to see how you can help.
Children’s Church Praise Team
Has God given you the ability to sing or play an instrument? If so, we could use you to help us as we lead worship for the kids each week. Please contact Wally Mulhearn or the Children’s Ministry to get plugged in.
Other Opportunities
Occasionally our church has special events or other “once in a while” types of things that we will need help in.VBS, summer camps, Festibration and other special events are great opportunities to serve God in more short term ways.
