As you prayerfully consider joining the Woodridge Worship Ministry, please understand leading others in musical worship is a calling and responsibility that we take very seriously before the Lord. In order to determine the best fit for each applicant, we require all to audition through video submission along with completing the application.

Applicants interested in serving on the media team will not have to submit an audition video, but will be required to fill out the application and go through an interview process with Woodridge’s tech director.

It is important to note that the worship team does not function like a weekly bible study or home group due to the consistent rotation of people and the variation in how often team members serve. If Woodridge Worship becomes a place where you serve, we highly encourage involvement and service in other ministries, bible studies, and home groups where you can have consistent community and develop life-giving friendships within the church.

Audition Song List

Note: For video audition submissions, please choose one song from the song list for the instrument you are auditioning for:

Everyone who auditions by video submission and completes the application will be contacted within two weeks of the submission date.

If we feel you are potentially ready to serve on the worship team, we may ask you to attend an in-person audition. Below is a preparation list for the in-person audition:

Please choose one song in ¾, 4/4, and 6/8 time signatures for your specific instrument from the song audition list listed above. In total, you will prepare three songs for the in-person audition.

Things we will be looking for during the audition:

• The ability to be comfortable while playing the song (we want you to be able to worship)
• The ability to play/sing the song accurately
• The ability to play/sing in different time signatures
• The ability to play/sing with a click track and a cue track using in-ear monitors
• The ability to stay on beat throughout the entirety of the song
• The ability to add variations and creative elements of your own where they may be needed in a song
