The mission of Deacons is to serve, encourage, and provide spiritual leadership to the church body through relational, service, and prayer ministries to ensure that the spiritual and physical needs of Woodridge members are being met.

Woodridge Deacons are organized by Adult Sunday School classes where they minister to persons within those classes.  Through the relationships built within these classes, the Deacon can address the needs of individuals or families and also coordinate extended care for those as needed.

Deacons assist the pastoral staff in ministry with various activities which serve the membership at Woodridge with special emphasis given to ministry to single parent families, and ministry to Woodridge widows.

Presently Woodridge has a total of 34 Active Deacons serving the needs of the church family.  This number will increase as church membership continues to grow and annual Deacon elections are held.
